Interview with Lindsay Fox – Executive Producer and VP of Business Development Trade Digital Cinema
Lindsay Fox began working in the commercial production industry in 2005 and worked in a variety of capacities with such companies as MJZ, HSI, and Hungry Man. She was introduced to digital acquisition while working on a commercial campaign for the Beijing Summer Olympics, which utilized the Phantom HD and Sony F23 cameras in their early stages of adoption. Recognizing the future of digital acquisition, she began working as a Data Manager at DFC, Digital Film Company. This was a unique opportunity, as DFC was one of the first facilities to support uncompressed, file-based workflows from capture to finish. In addition to her role as a Data Manager, Lindsay became the Lead Project Manager there and was fundamental in facilitating the organization and operations of the company.
In 2009 Lindsay co-founded TDC, Trade Digital Cinema, to address the industry shift to digital acquisition and the intense challenges of proper data handling and storage requirements on and near set. TDC is a digital media management company that manages data for the motion picture, television, and advertising industries with clients including Biscuit Filmworks, Anonymous Content, NBC/Universal, MTV Films, Beast Editorial, and Whitehouse Post. Lindsay’s dedication to educating TDC’s clients as well as listening to their ever-changing needs have marked her work as Executive Producer and VP of Business Development.
In our chat with Lindsay we discuss what a digital media management service company does, how she works with clients on change management and why she often considers herself a data therapist.
