Conducting on-site evaluations to develop strategic solutions that fi into his clients current workflow.  Jason designs and develops asset management software and utilities to enhance and empower metadata driven automated workflows to guide and support the management of media to maximize efficiency and increase profits.

Jason has always been committed to remain a front-runner with advancements in media technology which demand a higher reliance on more efficient workflows. Jason has built many teams and trained highly specialized talent to develop cutting edge technology to assist in the management of all kinds of media.

After years of working alongside Apple and training some of their regional technicians in the development of the under-realized capacity of Final Cut Server (FCS), Jason created custom solutions to greatly enhance the features of FCS. After Apple stopped the support and production of FCS, Jason joined Levels Beyond to assist them in bringing their enterprise asset management software, Reach Engine, to market in a more packaged, and customizable offering.  Jason worked with Levels as a Solutions Architect (SA), deploying their enterprise software. Then as a Product Manager, leading a team of developers to create Reach Engine Studio.  He was the first SA for Reach Engine Studio, deploying and customizing this new product.  Then in his final role as the Director of West Coast Sales, Jason established relationships and helped to build out the reseller network alongside making direct sales of Reach Engine Studio.

At Intuitive Asset Management, Jason provides consulting, software development and integration services. Jason has deployed Reach Engine Studio alongside 4 different integrators across multiple cities. He has a team of programmers and engineers that work via the industry group he created called the Workflow Intelligence Nexus.  Jason speaks at various digital asset management conferences and continues to develop and implement new automated workflows for top tier media clients.

In today’s interview, we discuss the best practices around attaching metadata to your DAM assets so they can interoperate with your editing software. We also delve into captioning workflows and the future of asset management automation.
